Day 4: Twelve Days of Christmas: The Story Behind These Strange Gifts?

14/12/2020

Four calling birds, four mockingbirds, four canaries… or what about the four Gospels – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John?

A gift is given to us to reflect a message of ‘The Good News of Jesus.” These are stories that teach us lessons of peace, love, compassion, truth, and understanding that can transform our lives and the lives of those around us. These stories are so precious and great to pass on to everyone, and although you may not relate to the gospels themselves, you may relate to having a family story that is precious to you!

Just like the four stories of the gospels are precious, so are your family stories and traditions.

Day 4 Action: Call a friend or relative and reminisce about your favourite Christmas memories or traditions. If you have children or grandchildren, be sure to include them in the passing of precious family memories.
