“On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me…six geese a-laying…” What if you thought of it as six days of Creation? Although you might be familiar with this as being seven, keep in mind that God only ‘created’ for six of those days, and rested the seventh.
The importance of the gift of six days of Creation is that it’s the first story found in the Bible. Each egg the geese laid is each day of creation, a time when the world was “hatched” so to speak.
God was so creative in the way He mapped out each day.
