Breakthrough For Families empowers families to make positive changes through information, education and support. This free Information Session will cover topics such as: • Understanding substance use and its impacts, including facts about methamphetamines (ice) • Strategies and practical plans to talk about substance use as a family, support your loved one, reduce harm and care for yourself • Connection to individual counselling and find out about other supports in the community All family members welcome. Join Townsville City Council for Clean Up Australia Day. The official Council clean-up site will be at the northern end of Soroptimist Park, Rowes Bay. Parking will be available off Heatley’s Parade, opposite the Townsville Police Academy. Keen to try out your new 4x4 and don't know where to go? Had a 4x4 for years and have run out of new places? Don't have anyone to go with? CT 4x4 Club Come and Try Day allows novice and experienced drivers an area to test their vehicles in a range of terrain including soft sand and rocky outcrops, with the surety of having experienced Four Wheel Drive Queensland members on-hand to assist and guide where required or just for recovery. It will be there, from winch walls to mud pits that host the NQ Off Road Challenge, participants can come for the weekend and enjoy all of it. Anzac Day is the day to remember and  honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli during World War I. Anzac Day commemorative services are held in Hervey Range, Pentland, Greenvale, Ravenswood and Sellheim, with a Dawn Service at the Charters Towers War Cemetery and the morning service at the Cenotaph, observe the Anzac Parade as it makes its way along Gill Street from City Hall to the Cenotaph.
