FOOD SAFETY TRAINING
Townsville City Council would like to invite all food businesses, not-for-profits, aged care facilities, early learning centres and other interested parties to register their food handlers to attend a free food safety training!
This training will involve a combination of presentations, activities and quizzes around food safety topics, including:
Foodborne illness outbreaks/food poisoning
Food hazards (contamination)
Potentially hazardous foods
Food temperatures
Hand washing
Cleaning and sanitising
Pest control
Inspections
Council is currently offering morning sessions every month, so don’t despair if you miss out this time. Each session will be operated in accordance with current COVID requirements, and therefore numbers will be capped at 20 people per session. At this stage, only morning sessions are offered; however, there is potential for afternoon/evening sessions if there is enough interest, so please get in touch if you would like to attend but cannot make it in the mornings.
Once you get to the purchase ticket section, you will be able to select the number of tickets for each session.
COVID Requirements
These are COVID-safe events, so contact details for each attendee will be required. If you or any of your food handlers are unwell, or have been overseas or to a known COVID hotspot within 14 days of the event, please cancel your booking and we will save you a spot in the next session.
Looking forward to seeing you all there for some fun, hands-on learning!
