UNDERSTANDING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

It’s 2021 and after more than a century of progress, gendered violence is still rife in Australia — inside parliament, in our homes and in the streets.

So how do we build on the achievements of generations of campaigners for equality to make sure women from all backgrounds, ethnicities, abilities and sexual identities are safe, valued and treated as equals in private and public life?

Speakers: Representatives from The Women’s Centre & NQ Domestic Violence Resource Centre and QLD Greens Senator Larissa Waters.
