WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY AT MUNDY CREEK

We celebrate World Environment Day this year at the Mundy Creek Landcare site on Saturday, June 5th.

This year’s theme is Ecosystem Restoration, where the goal is to assist in recovering ecosystems that have been degraded or destroyed in order to conserve them.

The event will take place along the Mundy Creek Natureway from 4 to 6 pm. We have partnered with Creekwatch Townsville and are being supported by Townsville City Council for this event!

Join us on the day to mulch and weed around our native plants, get involved in Creekwatch activities, and help us remove litter from the site and record this data.

The Council will provide a BBQ for participants and there will be a free native plant giveaway!

What to bring: sun-safe clothing, a hat, gloves, and water.

Where: Park at the end of Lockheed Street, Garbutt 4814. Meet at the Landcare Sign just on the path off the end of the street.
