Their chance to win a share of over $50,000 in sponsorship time on 99.9 Live FM – Your chance to be a star, with a chance to win a helicopter flight, for you and one other person, by voting in a few weeks!
We want to celebrate Shining Stars in Townsville by giving your community group, local charity, sporting club, or church, a chance to be promoted on 99.9 Live FM through sponsorship time.
It doesn’t matter how big or small, as long as they are a local not-for-profit, community-focused group.
Nominations are open NOW! Nominate your local group(s) – then go through a voting period to vote for THE Shining Star.
Plus, everyone who votes goes into the draw to WIN a helicopter flight for two! That means you may win – just by thanking your favourite local group.

Queensland Youth Services Inc. (QYS) aids North Queensland’s vulnerable youth since 1978. Programs focus on family, sustainability, and empowerment, addressing homelessness, education, mental health, and more for independent living.
The Leprosy Mission, a global Christian organization, fights leprosy with compassion and faith, providing cure, care, and support worldwide, aiming for transformation and dignity.
Food Relief NQ, a non-profit, provides food to locals via charities and schools. Relying on donations, it offers affordable hampers and school breakfasts, aiding vulnerable families for over 20 years.
Experience The Stable in Townsville! From December 18th to 22nd at Stable at Riverway, immerse yourself in the Christmas story with live actors, animals, activities, and entertainment for the whole family.
Beaches Church, a vibrant family church in Townsville’s northern beaches, fosters community, growth, and positive change through family programs, youth groups, and Sunday services.
Beaches Community Services offers holistic care and NDIS support in Townsville, providing work training and a food garden project to aid families. Connect with them on Facebook for community involvement.
The Townsville Toy Library (TTL) provides families with high-quality, educational toys since 1978. Volunteer-run and not-for-profit, it promotes play to support children’s development.
