The Townsville Toy Library is a not-for-profit, completely volunteer-operated toy borrowing service that has been actively meeting the needs of hundreds of Townsville families each year since 1978. We have a community-focused history that spans forty-four years. Our service offers the community the opportunity to hire high quality, educational, and environmentally friendly toys, bringing hours of play to families and groups throughout Townsville and neighbouring areas.
We have multiple services to the community including emergency food relief, support with furniture, washing machines etc. Our facilities get used by over 4 different church groups and up to 10 different community groups- which we see as a way to strengthen our relationships with our community.

The Salvation Army Australia is a Christian movement dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus, by: Caring for people, Creating faith pathways, Building healthy communities, Working for justice.
The Pyjama Foundation provides children in foster care the opportunity to change the direction of their lives with learning, life skills and confidence. Pyjama Angels read books aloud with their child, play educational games and help children with their homework.
Supporting, preserving, protecting the family unit of families involved in Child protection on a volunteer basis.
Notch provides valuable place-based community connection via children’s playgroups, school holiday programs and local community events. Local teens are encouraged to ‘Make A Difference’ via volunteering programs and work experience opportunities.
The Joyful Foundation is a local charity working to raise funds for children from disadvantaged families in local schools. The Foundation raises funds for stationery packs, school uniforms, school expenses for students and Buddy Benches for schools.
We save the lives of animals and re-home them to be loved and cared for in a new environment, We also take in animals from all situations and get them fully vetted before finding them a forever home, once they are healthy and have been treated in full by a vet.

Micah Projects is a not-for-profit organisation committed to providing services and opportunities in the community to create justice and respond to injustice. Canteen supports 12-25 year-olds dealing with their own diagnosis, a close family member’s cancer or the death of a loved one. Our services also now extend to parents, because when they cope better with cancer and communicate openly, their children are likely to experience less distress and anxiety.

For 18 years Stable on the Strand has been North Queensland‘s Christmas Festival, a signature event held at Strand Park, Townsville for 5 nights from 18-22nd December and attended by 40,000 people. We have re-created the Christmas story in the town of Bethlehem with live animals, convincing actors, authentic props, a real Baby Jesus and heaps of activities for the whole family.
