Capping off the month is the Festival of One Act Plays (FOOAP), showcasing a diverse range of North Queensland talent with special guest adjudicator Alex Broun on Saturday April 29.

Community and Cultural Development Committee chairperson Ann-Maree Greaney said Townsville locals had their pick of acclaimed art to choose from this month.

“Townsville has been ranked in the top 10 best cities in Australia to live in this week, which is testament to Council’s commitment to growing Townsville’s capacity as the events capital of Northern Australia,” Cr Greaney said.

“Taking a look at what’s on offer at Council’s facilities shows that we’re attracting world-class talent and making it accessible to both Townsville locals and intrastate visitors – and that’s just what we’re offering at Council-owned facilities.
