We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from the world of children’s literature! Last year, we had the pleasure of interviewing the talented author Kathryn MacDowall about her beloved picture book, Let There Be Light. If you missed that interview, you’ll be glad to hear that Kathryn made a visit to Townsville for Book Week this week, and dropped some exciting news!
A Warm Welcome Back to Townsville
From August 19-22, Kathryn graced our local schools, including Calvary Christian School and Annandale Christian College. She engaged with students through live book readings and creative writing workshops. This visit was a wonderful opportunity for young readers to connect with a published author and gain insight into the creative process behind picture books.
Reflecting on Let There Be Light
Kathryn’s picture book, Let There Be Light, has touched many hearts since its release. With its captivating story and beautiful illustrations, it’s clear why this book has garnered such positive feedback. During our previous interview with Kathryn, she shared the inspiration behind this enchanting book and how it resonates with both children and educators alike.
Looking Ahead: New Books on the Horizon
Kathryn is not stopping with just one successful book. She’s excited to announce that she will have two new picture books available in October this year. These new releases promise to bring more imaginative stories and valuable lessons to young readers.
She stopped into Live FM to have a chat with Abby and tell us all about the new books!
