Adventurethon Charters Tower
All day2019-09-22Following from the fun, frivolity, and spirited competition of the inaugural event in 2018, we will once again see an awesome course set around the scenic Burdekin River. An exciting paddle course, that may include some small rapids, will set the event in motion and lead participants towards a relatively straight forward (not technical) mountain bike leg. The race will culminate with a short run that winds its way alongside the Burdekin River and through some of the more memorable bankside sights before returning to the finish line. This is a great event for first-time participants. There are two distances to choose from, the Taste/Junior and an Enduro distance. If you are moderately fit or regularly compete in any sport, you should be capable of finishing the Enduro event even if some of the disciplines are new to you. Just be brave enough to get out there, have fun, and enjoy the location and atmosphere among fellow competitors and spectators. Perhaps form a family, or a workplace, team and start practicing then challenge others to try and beat you. But remember no sheep stations on the line, all just for good fun.
