UPTOWN FESTIVE FLINDERS LAUNCH

Festive Flinders launches on Friday 5 December with a bright, welcoming street celebration that invites the whole community back into the heart of the CBD. Flinders Street will come alive with live music, Santa making his way through the crowd with lolly bags for the kids, and a fun colouring-in competition and Competitions with great prizes thanks to local buisnesses to kick off the Christmas season.

Everyone is encouraged to come in, wander through the hand-made market stalls, enjoy a drink, and pick up one of Peddler Projects’ pre-made cheese platters. It’s an easy, relaxed way for families, friends, workers, and visitors to come together and enjoy an evening filled with colour, activity, and Christmas spirit.

This event is the official launch of our month-long Festive Flinders Activation, which includes the Festive Flinders Walk and Trivia Trail, the Activation Advent Calendar, the Santa Sleigh Raffle, and community Christmas activities running through to 23 December.

The goal is simple: bring people together, support our local traders, and fill the CBD with energy, fun, and a bit of festive magic as we turn Flinders Street into Townsville’s Christmas hub.
