Walk your way to Christmas Day
Townsville folk from 8 to 80 will be pounding the streets in July to raise funds for Stable at Riverway 2024. Our major fundraiser “Walk your way to Christmas Day’ involves walking 150ks during the month of July as an individual, small group, or family; or Church or larger group. 150k is the distance from Nazareth to Bethlehem – the distance Mary and Joseph walked in about 4 days!!!!
Event administrator Clare Dewar says ‘This year we have some individual walks too and the first of these is on Wednesday, July 3rd . These walks are wheelchair and pram accessible. Supervised children, scooters and dogs are welcome to join in too. Walking is fun, it’s good for you, it’s something you can do with others, it clears the head and mind, and raises money for Stable. ‘Walk your way to Christmas Day’ is a way you can invite family, friends, social or your sporting group to support you and raise much-needed funds for Stable’
