The World Triathlon Multisport Championships will see Duathlon, Long Distance Triathlon, Aquabike, Aquathlon, Cross Triathlon and Cross Duathlon World Championship races organised together, with all events to be held close to the center of Townsville.
Why: The 2024 World Triathlon Multisport Championships Townsville is set to be the largest event ever held in the region, with thousands of athletes and supporters from around the world attending.
In what will be the largest sporting spectacle ever to be held in Townsville, 4,500 competitors representing over 50 countries from all around the world will make their way to North Queensland for this event. This is the first time the World Triathlon Multisport Championships have been held in Australia. Previous events have been held in Canada, Demark & Spain.

The 12 days will be actioned packed full of fun and sporting competition. From the Opening ceremony and Parade of Nations through to the Closing Ceremony and Party!

The local community can get involved by volunteering, supporting, and spectating across the 12 days and are able to participate in the community event
