Council is gearing up for a bumper Australia Day on Thursday, January 26.
The day kicks off with the Aussie Fun Run from 6.30am, with registrations for the 5km run through Jezzine barracks opening from 6am.
There will also be a free breakfast (for the first 500 people) at 8am before the official State Flag Raising Ceremony from 9am.
The Aussie Beach Day Out festivities will then get underway from 10.30am until 2pm along the Strand from the Rockpool through to Strand Park, with Council encouraging people of all ages to come down with family and friends and enjoy a wonderful day of fun outdoors.
There will be something for the whole family to enjoy at this free event with live music, roving entertainment, food trucks, a classic cars display and a BBQ sausage sizzle.
The kids will be amazed by the kite displays flying through the skies and they can even make their own in a free kite-making workshop.
There will also be a bunch of other fun activities for everyone to enjoy on the day.
