We were thrilled to chat with Brennan McPherson (Producer) and John Schafer (Director) about the new 2D-animated film Light of the World, which hits cinemas September 4th!
Set in AD 30, Light of the World tells the story of Jesus through the eyes of His young friend, the Apostle John. From the beginning of Jesus’ ministry through His crucifixion and resurrection, the film beautifully illustrates how Jesus changed the world—and still changes lives today.
During our conversation, Brennan and John shared how the project came together, the inspiration behind telling the story from John’s perspective, and the incredible creative team behind the film, including talent with experience from Disney classics and Bible-based animation like Superbook.
We also got a peek behind the scenes at the animation process, and heard about the heart and hope behind this story for families and audiences of all ages.
