NAIDOC WEEK 2025

NAIDOC Week 2025 is a powerful and historic celebration — marking 50 years of honouring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, culture, history and achievements. It’s a moment to reflect on the legacy of resistance and resilience that gave rise to the NAIDOC movement and a time to amplify the hopes and voices of the next generation.

From July 7–14, communities across Australia will come together under this year’s theme:

“The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy”

This theme shines a spotlight on the young leaders rising up — grounded in the wisdom of their Elders, guided by a deep respect for culture, and carrying forward the legacy of justice, unity, and self-determination.

NAIDOC Week is for all of us — an invitation to learn, honour, and participate in the celebration of the world’s oldest, continuous living cultures. Whether you’re heading to a local event, listening to stories, or taking time to reflect, there are so many ways to be part of the movement.
