Around the world, it’s estimated over 43 million people find themselves persecuted, fleeing from their homes and living as refugees. On April 13, come together with others from across the community to share hope and show support to those suffering.2025 Palm Sunday Walk for Peace and Justice for Refugees will happen at 4pm from Gregory Street amphitheatre on The Strand, around Strand Park and back to the amphitheatre. Townsville’s Palm Sunday Walk is an annual event organised by local members of Amnesty International, the Townsville Multicultural Support Group (TMSG) and and JCU student group SANTE (Supporting All Nations Towards Equality) with support from diverse faith communities.
