It’s time to put Townsville’s Shining Stars in the spotlight! From now until August 31, you can nominate your favourite registered charity, not-for-profit organisation, or church for 99.9 Live FM’s annual Shining Stars campaign.

Once your nomination is confirmed and your group appears on the official Shining Stars website (below), you’ll know they’re in the running — and you can start rallying support for the voting round.

Shining Stars is all about celebrating the passionate people and organisations who serve the real needs of our community and work tirelessly to make our region better. By nominating and voting, you’re not only recognising their incredible work — you’re helping them win a share of over $50,000 in on-air sponsorship to grow their reach and impact.

Cast your vote for the groups that inspire you, and you’ll go in the draw to win $1,000 cash! Plus, listen to 99.9 Live FM for live call-outs where bonus sponsorship can be won.

Queensland Youth Services empowers vulnerable youth (12-25) in North Queensland through holistic support, promoting independence, family stability, and sustainable, positive lifestyles. Find out more.
PCYC Queensland empowers youth through programs that build wellbeing, leadership, and identity—creating safer, healthier communities where young people and their potential truly thrive. Find out more.
Community Gro provides vital support through youth programs, school engagement, financial aid, meals, and mental health services, fostering connection and wellbeing for people of all ages. Find out more. 

The Rock Church invests in Townsville by hosting the Global Leadership Summit, running youth programs, championing Stable NQ, and supporting women in shelters through Hands For Hope ministry. Find out more.

Kennedy Region Scouts empower young people through outdoor adventure, skills, leadership, teamwork and community service, inspiring confidence, resilience, and lifelong friendships in a fun environment. Find out more.
